Travels Through Time is very proudly an independent operation. Our presenters are working authors and academics who are very cheerful to see that something that started off as an experiment in audio storytelling has developed in the way that it has.
More than a million people have now listened to our podcasts. Every week we receive many pitches from prospective guests and their publishers. Of course we are obsessed by history and would like to do as many of these as possible, but it is expensive and time-consuming to produce each episode to the quality we like. These constraints have generally limited us to one episode a week.
In an effort to fund the continuing growth of the podcast and to help showcase more historical voices, we are now offering a new ‘Supported By’ service for potential guests. Basically, when we have filled our allocation of weekly slots we will offer to produce additional episodes if someone is willing to cover the cost of time and production.
In short, you support us to allow us to support you.
